Janus L. Norman

President & CEO

With more than two decades worth of government relations experience, Janus Norman accepted the role of President of the California Broadband & Video Association, CalBroadband, in April of 2022. Mr. Norman has dedicated his professional life to engaging the policy making process to improve the lives of California, especially the disadvantaged. His commitment to policy work that improves the daily lives of Californians and opens new opportunities for communities across the state is unparalleled.  Prior to joining CalBroadband, he has served as the Senior Vice President for Government Relations and Political Operations with the California Medical Association and as a Legislative Advocate for the American Federation of State, County and Municipal Employees, AFL-CIO. He received a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Communication Studies from California State University, Sacramento, and a Master of Business Administration Degree from the University of Southern California.

Amanda Gualderama

Director of Legislative & Regulatory Advocacy

Amanda is the Director of Legislative and Regulatory Affairs for California Broadband & Video Association (CalBroadband).  She joined the Association in 2022 with over a decade of legislative and regulatory experience.  Prior to CalBroadband, Amanda was the Legislative Director for AAA where she directed the legislative advocacy of the company within six states.  Prior to that she was the Government Affairs Director for Sentry Insurance where she directed the legislative and regulatory advocacy for fifteen states.

Amanda has her Bachelor’s Degree in History from California State University, Sacramento and her Juris Doctorate from Lincoln Law School of Sacramento.  She became a member of the California State Bar in 2015.

Amanda resides in Carmichael, California.

Wesley Udell

Director of Regulatory and In-House Counsel

Wesley holds a Juris Doctor from Santa Clara University School of Law, where he was recognized with the prestigious Law Faculty Scholarship Award for all three years. He also earned a Bachelor of Arts in Public Law from U.C. San Diego.

Prior to joining the Association, Wesley served as a legal counsel within the Office of Legislative Counsel providing comprehensive legal services to the California Legislature, executive, and judicial branches.

Wesley brings litigation experience from his previous roles at Porter Scott and Koeller, Nebeker, Carlson & Haluck, LLP.
